Ready to become a certified lifeguard this summer? 🌊🏊♂️ The Hurlburt Field Aquatic Center is offering a lifeguard certification course designed to prepare participants with the lifesaving skills and confidence needed to respond in and around the water.

Must pass the prerequisite swim test on 29 May to register
Online coursework link will be sent after registration
Attendance at all class dates is mandatory

29 May | 8:30–11:30 AM – Prerequisite Day (mandatory for registration)
15 June | 8:30 AM–2:30 PM – Proof of completed online coursework required
16 June | 8:30 AM–2:30 PM
17 June | 8:30 AM–2:30 PM
18 June | 8:30 AM–2:30 PM

🏅 Prerequisite Requirements:
Complete swim-tread-swim sequence without stopping to rest: Swim 150 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both (goggles are allowed).
Maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs.
Swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both.
Complete timed event within 1 min, 40 sec: Swim 20 yards, dive down to retrieve a 10-pound object, and swim back to starting point on your back (no goggles allowed).
