CONTEST RULES AND GUIDELINES
1. All greeting cards must have a holiday theme. If you need assistance on a religious theme, contact the Base Chapel at (850) 884-7795.
2. Get creative, but follow these design parameters:
– Cards may be vertical or horizontal, but cannot exceed 8’x8’x8’. Add ons, cutouts and moving parts are permitted.
– Cards requiring power must include an outdoor extension cord or be supplied with a self-contained (and self-monitored) battery pack.
– Card themes MUST be consistent with AFSOC cultural standard of military professionalism and promote a climate of respect and dignity.
– Weatherproof your card.
– Live plants or animals are not allowed.
3. Designers or builders may consist of squadron/unit members or their families. Multiple entries per squadron are permitted, all Hurlburt connected squadrons/sections, etc. are eligible to enter.
4.Previous contest entries may be displayed, but will not be entered into the contest.
5. Squadrons can pick up one (1) sheet of plywood at the Community Center MON/WED/FRI, 10:30AM-6:30PM | TUE/THU, 1:30-3PM. One free sheet provided per entry, while supplies last. Contestants are allowed to provide their own wood as long as it is the required height and width.
6. Please print Organization, POC and phone number on back of card for judging and bring completed card to the display location alongside Cody Avenue on the grassy area by the Chapel, by noon on Wed, 4 DEC 2024; Cards delivered after this deadline will not be judged. Please make sure to not block traffic or create blind spots when securing your display.
7. Winners announced at Tree Lighting, Fri, 6 Dec.
8. All cards must be removed by end of day FRI, 3 Jan or they will be disposed of.
