The Teen Center provides a safe and positive place for teens to spend time. The center features a wide-screen TV, pool tables, table tennis, DVD players, video games, and six computers with high-speed internet access. There are also many structured programs that provide opportunities for youths to develop their physical, social, emotional and cognitive abilities. In addition, they are given the chance to experience achievement, leadership, enjoyment, friendship and recognition. Registration is $50 per year (prorated by quarter).
The Keystone Club is a leadership and service club, designed to help teens ages 13–18 reach their potential and realize the impact and importance they can have on the local community. Club members will elect officers and work together to plan and implement their own activities, programs and trips. With the help of all club members, teens will have a fun and educational club that will be enjoyed offering positive experiences for club members. Keystoning is the Boys & Girls Club Movement’s most dynamic teen program. It affords teens an opportunity to gain valuable leadership and service experience. They conduct activities in three areas: academic success, career exploration and community service. Aaron's Inc. sponsors the Keystone Club program as part of a multi-year teen initiative; a strategic partnership between Aaron's Inc. and BGCA provides Clubs with the tools and resources to create a positive place for teens as well as for kids.
Triple Play, BGCA’s comprehensive health and wellness initiative, strives to improve the overall health of members, ages 6-18, by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition and helping them develop healthy relationships. Since the Triple Play initiative was introduced in 2005, more than one million Club members have participated in fun fitness activities. The Triple Play initiative, sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company and The Anthem Foundation, nurtures the minds, bodies and souls of Club members.

The SMART (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) Moves program is a nationally acclaimed prevention program originally developed in the 1980s with help from prevention specialists and Clubs around the country. Newly revised in 2011, the program incorporates the latest information and approaches that BGCA has learned about effective prevention. Participants will be exposed to various activities designed to hone their decision-making and critical-thinking skills, as well as learn how to avoid and/or resist alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and premature sexual activity.
BGCA’s gang and violence prevention curriculum, Street SMART, offers expanded lessons in bullying prevention, as well as an emphasis on resiliency training to give Club members, ages 10-14, the skills they need to grow up confident, caring and responsible. The revised Street SMART guide, which can be downloaded in the Program Documents window to the right, was made possible through the generous support of the Office of Justice Programs.
The CyberSafety Internet program is used to teach Youth how to have positive dialogue with adults about internet safety. Bullying is a serious concern among youth today and with the steady expansion of the cyber world, bullying has moved beyond a face-to-face problem. Oftentimes cyberbullying takes place through text messages and on social media sites, which allows mean-spirited behavior to follow kids outside of school or other social environments. Cyberbullying can be a one time thing, but often is done over a long period of time and occasionally anonymously.
The Smart Girls and Smart Gentlemen is a program designed to assist youth making positive decisions for personal growth, fitness and well being. The program is for ages 9–12 years old.SMART Girls is a health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem program for girls aged 8-17. The program is designed to encourage healthy attitudes and lifestyles that will enable girls to develop their full potential.
For more adolescent males the transition from boyhood to manhood is a challenging one, since it requires them to understand a wide varieties of issues and transitions: physical changes in their bodies; altering relations with authority, friends and members of the opposite sex; greater freedom and responsibility for personal decisions; new expectations of acting more like adults in how they conceive and plan for the future, preparation for life's roles particularly related to education and careeres; and greater pressure from peers, authority, and popular culturein how they respond to drugs and other controlled substances, sexual relations and the acquisition of money and material posessions. SMART gentelmen iconsists of 14 sessions for 11-14 year old boys each of whuch concentrates on a specific aspect of manhood through highly interactive activities.
TNT DramaMatters Afterschool, a drama education program for Clubs, was developed in collaboration with Turner Network Television. TNT DramaMatters Afterschool is a flexible resource for Clubs designed to raise awareness about the benefits of drama education. Lessons in Stagecraft, a supplemental DramaMatters guide, teaches advanced participants in drama about set design, set building, stage lighting, costumes, stage make-up and directing. It offers Club member's different ways for them to express themselves creatively in hopes that they will discover a behind-the-scenes role in a production.
Million Members, Million Hours of Service (MMMHS) encourages good character and appreciation for citizenship and provides every Club participant with opportunities to serve in year-round Club and community based volunteer service experiences. BGCA encourages Clubs and provides resources to help them engage every member in at least one hour of service each year. If one million of our members give one hour per year, it will add up to one million hours spent by young people making meaningful change in their communities. Throughout the year, there are eight Signature Service Opportunities-times when the entire Boys & Girls Club Movement comes together around important, nationwide service projects for greater impact.

This program provides a range of services to guide Club participants as they work toward high school graduation and prepare for post-secondary education and career success. Career Launch is a fun and exciting program prepares teens for the working world. Club teens 13-18 years old embark on a journey to explore careers, make sound educational decisions and find success in the world of work. The program, sponsored by Bank of America and Gap Foundation, contains 20 sessions full of interactive activities designed to help teens prepare for 21st Century careers.. A tiered approach allows Clubs maximum flexibility in implementing the program.. A pre- and post-assessment tool is included to determine individual participants' achievement of the learning objectives and to document results of the program.
Date SMART is a supplement to SMART Girls and Passport to Manhood, and an exciting new resource for Club members ages 13 to 18. Through fun and easy-to-use sessions, members learn how to achieve mutually supportive relationships free of violence and abuse. The program also encourages youth to become community advocates for relationships that promote equality and respect while combating the attitudes and behaviors that lead to dating, sexual and domestic violence.
BGCA urges all Clubs to use the President’s Volunteer Service Award program to recognize the invaluable contributions of their adult and youth volunteers. The program, administered by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation on behalf of the President of the United States, recognizes sustained community service and civic participation. Awards are available in four categories and three levels based on age group and number of hours completed in a 12-month period. Money Matters promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club participants ages 13-18 by building their basic money management skills. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, budget, save and invest. They also learn about starting small businesses and paying for college. Money Matters features three components:

4-H Club has youth exploring the outdoors through fun programs and activities lead by youth. The 4H Public Adventures Program is a citizenship curriculum. It is designed to encourage youth to contribute to the world around them and to develop a lifelong commitment to active citizenship. While participating in Public Adventures, youth learn to find out about issues that are important to them on a local, national and global level. Youth learn that in order to make a difference they must gain new skills and explore new ideas. Youth learn that in order to make a difference they must gain new skills and explore new ideas. While on their self-made journey, they will explore the public world, choose the destination they will follow, discover who the stakeholders are and create an action plan to address an issue. This program lends itself as a supplemental curriculum to be encorporated into the Torch Club.
Youth of the Year is a program that celebrates strong moral fiber and positive life skills in young people today. Made possible through the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, it is designed to shape future leaders and participants are eligible for recognition at the national-level. Youth must submit a package highlighting their experiences and showcase excellence in all they do. Teens chosen as Youth of the Year at the base-level may go on to compete at the state, regional, then national-level competition, culminating in a week-long trip to Washington, D.C.
