Full American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. $200 includes books, materials and certification fees OR $150 certification fee only. $25 non-refundable deposit due at time of registration.  The American Red Cross Lifeguard Program is a nationally accredited program, which is accepted and preferred worldwide. At the completion of this course, certified lifeguards can work anywhere - at the beach, pool, water park, or anywhere else a lifeguard is needed. Class Times: Mon 4-9pm, Tues 4-9 pm, Wed 5:30 -  9pm, Thu 4 - 9pm, Sat 9:30 am - 5 pm. A playgroup for moms, pops and their tots.  Some structured activities are planned on a monthly basis; occasional outings away from the A&FRC.  We meet Tuesdays for children 0-2 years old, and Wednesdays for children 2-4 years old (this group has scheduled outings).

Age Groups for Egg Hunt. 2 & under: Playground. 3-5: Field, 6-8: Field, 9-12: Tree Line adjacent to main gate and Families with Special Needs: Field.  Plan to arrive early, the Egg Hunt is over quickly. All age groups will start at the same time. Parents will only be permitted in the egg area for ages 2 and under. All others will view from the perimeter.

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, the Library and the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) will be hosting a special event! All families are encouraged to bring their own picnic and join in the fun.This day includes cookies, book readings for the kids and kite-making. Finish the day with your picnic lunch!  An employment workshop conducted by A&FRC and JobsPlus where assessments to assist individuals in identifying their career needs will be conducted along with putting together an Individualized Career Plan (ICP).

Parents in Healthy Families will help parents learn to discipline their children and encourage their children in ways they may not of thought of.  We will focus on solving problems why they are small and making sure that strategies are consistent with family values.

Is a briefing provided to those individuals separating from the service under a medical evaluation board.  The Veteran's Representative briefs them on their benefits as well as having a Vocational Rehabilitation Representative brief them.

The Okaloosa School District Mentors Program has partnered with the Hurlburt Field Volunteer Resource Program.  The program matches volunteer mentors with a child for positive adult interaction.  Multiple local schools available; training on mentoring and tutoring is free.
